The Jolly Wonderer has been wondering again We went to this lovely diner/cafe after a family member recommended it. Great choice for a mid-jouney stop and stretch of legs, we thoroughly enjoy our pancakes, ice cream and syrup. (We couldn't decide which we liked more so had half of each other's . Very welcoming, fussed the dog, water was brought over for her and then spilt when her lead fell in the bowl Would we go back next time we're passing through... absolutely!! Service was 10/10 and overall would 100% recommend!!

It is a very lovely family business, with a great view of the surrounding, the food was great and the people there were lovely! We went in for a brunch during our trip to north wales and this place was highly recommended and now we know why, i had the cauliflower and broccoli soup with veg burger and a hot chocolate and i was impressed with all of them. We also had a full english breakfast, a cheeseburger, and all of them were fresh and delicious

So glad we found this place. We have been stopping here on the way home from Anglesey for years. Good choice of food, well cooked with friendly staff and a brilliant view to boot!

Read mixed reviews before visiting but was local to where we were staying so thought we would try it out. Good location with lovely views and lots of cat ornaments all round the windows. Arrived mid afternoon, restaurant was empty. No welcome apart from "you can sit where you like". Waitress hovered while we looked at the menu. Ordered spaghetti Bolognese which was average - asked if any parmesan and a small bowl with a few slithers was provided. Also cheese and onion quiche, chips and salad. Quiche was ok, chips good, best part was the salad which included lots of fruit. Waited quite a while for waitress to reappear and take our dessert order - butterscotch pancakes with ice cream and rhubarb and almond crumble with custard. Pancakes were good. Crumble was average. As said earlier, this is in a good location, with lovely views and plenty of parking. Restaurant and toilet all very clean. Food ok. Sadly lacking on the customer service side. A pleasant welcome can make all the difference!

Enjoyed a lovely full English breakfast with my family when passing through for my mum's 60th. Generous portions, very quick to serve, really tasty food, and welcoming atmosphere. Also dog friendly. I'd say that the price of food was about average for a full English, but the quality of food was excellent and I'd have been well prepared to pay more had I known beforehand. Noticed a few people enquire about takeaway breakfasts, which the restaurant doesn't appear to do (from my observations- though I may be wrong); however, cooking and service is that quick that you would lose almost no time by just sitting in and eating-in anyway. Thoroughly recommend.

We had breakfast here twice. The food is heavenly. It's family run and the staff and owners are warm and friendly. There are cat figurines all along the windows that are great fun to look at and hear the stories about where they came from. A definite must if you're in the area.

Great little cafe on the A5. Stopped on the way home from a holiday in North Wales. Had the breakfast with fried bread and black pudding. It was lovely, good sized portion and great price. Now bookmarked as a favourite place and will definitely stop off there again.

Pleasant staff, comfortable seating and good portions of good food. The coffee was hot and really nice coffee. A great place to pull over for a meal and a break from driving on the A5 in North Wales.
